Tree House Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Charlton, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 2011 by Nate Lanier, Damien Goudreau, and Dean Rohan, who were friends and home brewers.
Initially, Tree House operated as a small, seasonal brewery operated out of a small red barn on Lanier's family farm and produced beer only during the summer months. In 2013, the company opened a larger facility in Monson, Massachusetts, and started producing beer year-round.
Then in 2017, Tree House Brewing opened a new, larger facility in Charlton. The new brewery is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and can produce up to 150,000 barrels, or 17,5 million litres (!!) of beer per year.
Tree House has become well-known for its hop-forward American-style ales, including its flagship beer, Julius, an IPA that is highly sought after by beer enthusiasts. Tree House has also gained a reputation for using high-quality ingredients and for its focus on freshness and flavor. Despite producing arguably the best of the best hazy, New-England Stlye IPAs, the brewery also produces a range of other beers, including stouts, porters, and lagers.
Today, Tree House operates two locations in Massachusetts: a production facility in Charlton and a brewery and taproom in Charlton. The company distributes its beer only within Massachusetts, and its limited release beers often sell out within hours of being released.
Despite its relatively small size, Tree House Brewing has gained a national reputation and is frequently ranked among the best breweries in the United States and even the world. The brewery has also developed a loyal following of beer enthusiasts who often wait in line for hours to purchase its highly sought-after beers.
